Aidan Cruickshank started out in the industry in 2011, as a fitness instructor working in a family orientated gym whilst studying sports and exercise science. He later qualified as a personal trainer and sports nutritionist in 2013. Sports has been ever present in his life starting out as a sprinter throughout much of his school life, having competed for county. Although his true sporting passion has always been contact sports, playing rugby in his adolescent years, whilst coaching a range of local community and school based sports teams and athletes from cricket, netball and football to track and field athletics and martial arts. 

Martial arts is where he experience the most sporting success having competed both nationally and internationally in kick-boxing and freestyle sports karate, he ranked 19th in the WAKO European Junior Championships aged 18. He has 9 years experience in kick-boxing and freestyle sports karate 6 years of which have been spent coaching. With an additional 7 years in taekwondo as a player and junior coach and another combined 5 years in various other martial arts and combative sports which include 4 semi-professional MMA appearances. 

As a personal trainer he specialises in sports development, strength conditioning and weight management. His qualification in a verity of functional training methods enables him to keep your training ever evolving just like your goals, interest and life is ever changing. Whether your next challenge is to gain lean muscle, run a marathon or cope with a stressful work or family life Kettle bells, circuit training, suspension training and kick-boxing are just a few ways he is able keep your training fun and interesting.

Distance TRAINING

At Shankz Health & Fitness we offer services to aid your training such as diet plans and training routines to enable you to get the best from your training without having a trainer physically by your side yet still tapping into that expert knowledge.

PERSONAL TRAINING

One to one training allows you to be the sole focus, this will enable you to develop and progress at your own pace with a less competitive edge.

GROUP TRAINING

Training with up to five of your friend whist working towards a common goal, this gives you a warm and focused environment to enhance yourself and your relationship with your friends.
